1. Can the boilers be combined with oil usage?
Yes, they can be combined with Oil, gas or LPG by the use of the PERGE Universal Kit
2. Can the boilers be used in conjunction with heat pumps/solar panels/thermal stores?
Our MC Series boilers will work well with solar panels, heat pumps and thermal stores.
3. Can you combine boilers with under floor heating systems?
Yes you are able to combine the two.
4. Could it be fitted by your own plumber?
Yes, but you would need to get a registered installer to commission it if you were looking to claim a low carbon building grant.(Pending Approval)
5. Do the MC series boilers require an electrical supply?
If using the electrical heating element then a 13 amp supply is required, otherwise no.
6. How controllable are the boilers? Are they still efficient when ticking over?
They use a control system which allows you to regulate the temperature, fuel and automatic running of the boiler.
7. How efficient is the boiler?
The boiler complies with EN 303-5 Classification 1, and are up to 80% efficient.
8. How often do the boilers need fuelling?
This would depend on how often the boiler is used, the quality of wood and the heat demand. Under optimum conditions a burn time of upto 10 hours can be expected
9. Is the MC easy to re-fuel?
Yes, logs are loaded easily through the front loading door, and logs upto 50cm in length can be easily added.
10. What are the maintenance requirements of the MC series boiler?
Ash is removed at the base of boiler when required, and the inner comustion chamber can be cleaned periodically using the raking tool provided (Every 5-7 days)
11. What are the safety controls on the MC series boiler?
An integral anti-boiling coil is fitted as standard, and can be connected to the circuit if required, otherwise it is recommended to fit a heat bleed or overheat stat.
12. What is included? I.e. Pumps/controls etc?
Boiler, thermostatic controls and cleaning tools.
13. What type of flue is required for the boilers?
A Twin wall stainless steel 180mm flue to EN1856.
14. What warranty do you offer?
We offer 3 years warranty on the Heat Exchanger and 1 year on all other parts.
15. Would any of your boilers be suitable for offices/small businesses/farms?
Yes, the MC 5-30CIGF can be utilised to give up to 38kw / 130,000 BTU output
